Following the successful first ever Houston Flexible Pipe Technology Forum, Flexlife together with the SUT would like you invite you to the next regular forum meeting.
 

As a quick refresher, the aim of the forum will be to bring together Operators, Installers and Manufacturers of flexible pipe in order to discuss a wide range of topics of interest for the design, manufacture, installation, operation, IRM, and life extension of these often operationally critical assets.
 
The format for the next forum meeting will be the same as the first; a 2 hour lunch meeting (lunch provided) with a key note topic being presented followed on by a shorter technology based presentation.  There will then be a chance for the forum to discuss this and any burning issues or problems that may be faced by the individuals or member organizations and hopefully get some meaningful answers or solutions!
 
We also would like to announce that we have steering committee in place from across the industry and they will be responsible for selecting the papers to be presented at each meeting and steering the direction and content of the forum overall, ensuring that we stay balanced and non commercial.
 
PAPER 1 - Flexible Pipe Delivery Management (Design, CVA, Manufacturing, Installation) - Max 1 Hour
PAPER 2 - Flexible Pipe Technology Paper (Pipe Structure/Design, New Technologies) - Max 30 Minutes
 
Again, we hope with this forum to improve the understanding and use of this key production asset amongst the Houston subsea community and in doing so enable all involved to benefit from reduced operational risk and improved life of asset cost.
 
 

 The SUT was founded to promote the further understanding of the underwater environment and to encourage cross-fertilization and dissemination of ideas, experience and information between workers in academic research, applied research and technology, industry and government development of techniques and tools to explore and study oceans, proper economic and sociological use of our resources in and beneath the oceans further education of scientists and technologists to maintain high standards in marine science and technology.

This multi-disciplinary learned Society brings together organizations and individuals with a common interest in underwater technology, ocean science and offshore engineering. The SUT was founded in 1966 in London and has members from more than 40 countries, including engineers, scientists, other professionals and students working in these areas
